Ministry Teams

Elders offers several opportunities for people to serve each other within the church.  Listed below are the various ministries in which you cna serve.

Preschool Ministry - This team serves in the nursery during the worship times and for special events.  Children range in age from newborn to Pre-K. 

*Please note:  All Preschool Ministry team members must be volunteer trained and pass a background check.

 

Children's Ministry - This team works with children in grades Kindergarten-Fifth Grade.  The members of this team are responsbile for setting up and cleaning-up Children's events, chaperoning Children's events, and helping in Children's Church when needed. 

*Please note:  All Children's Ministry team members must be volunteer trained and pass a background check.

 

Youth Ministry (Teenagers) - This team works with students in 6th-12th Grades.  The members of this team serve as small group leaders, chaperones, and are responsible for helping with events and ministry projects.

*Please note:  All Youth Ministry team members must be volunteer trained and pas a background check.

 

Ushers/Greeters Ministry - Ushers/Greeters are the first faces people see when they enter the building.  These individuals greet people, help guests who have questions, and give directions.  This team is also responsible for collecting the offering at the appropriate time in the service and taking the collection to a secure location.

 

Hospitality - This team is responsible for purchasing, prepping and serving meals at different types of functions, including dinners, funeral meals, picnics, and etc.  The Hospitality team is also responsible for cleaning up after the event.

 

Children's Church Ministry - Children's Church meets during the second worship service.  It seeks to speak the truth's of God's Word on a level that they understand.  This team preps and teaches the lessons, and helps the children with the various activities that help to cement the truths of God's Word in the children's hearts and minds.

*Please note:  All Children's Church team members must be volunteer trained and pass a background check.

Recreation Team - The Recreation Team is responsible for planning, prepping, and leading events that connect the church with each other and with the community.  These events can include chili suppers and other theme-type meals, The Harvest Festival, trips, and special events.

 

 

Bereavement Ministry - The Bereavement Ministry ministers to the needs of families in their time of loss.  The goal is to provide support, comfort, and encouragement before (if anticipated), during, and after the loss of a loved one.  Activities include writing sympathy cards to personally visiting the families to helping with the viewing and funeral.
