Prayer Basics
Those wishing to become serious prayers may find the following
suggestions helpful.
- Begin your prayer time praising and worshiping God.
- They say confession is good for the soul – it also clears the
way for your requests to travel heavenward. Don’t skip this.
Some hints may be the confession of: sins of commission,
omission, thoughts, attitude, speech, relationships, worry,
anxiety, pride and arrogance.
- Now begin your time of intercession and lifting up your
requests to our Holy God.
- Thanksgiving is not to be forgotten.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to
God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7)
