TRUSTWORTHY:  Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God by Lysa TerKeurst

This class is for women of all ages.  It will meet on Monday nights from 7:00 - 8:30 PM beginning May 4.  This class is being led by Pam Keller.

In Get Out of Your Head, from speaker and Bible teacher Jennie Allen challenges Christian women to transform their outlook and their lives by interrupting their spiraling thoughts -- and realizing their God-given power to think differently.

Jennie Allen hears all the time from women who feel stuck in patterns of frustration and defeat. In her search for a solution, she's learned that the greatest spiritual battle of our generation is taking place between our ears. How we think shapes how we live. So it's crucial that we learn how to stop our spinning thoughts and refuse to fall prey to toxic thinking patterns like victimhood, anxiety, and distraction.

In this book Jennie draws on biblical truth and recent discoveries in neuroscience to show exactly how we can fight the enemies of the mind with the truth of who God is and who He calls us to be.

7 REASONS WHY YOU CAN TRUST THE BIBLE by Erwin W. Lutzer

This study will begin on May 17, last 8 weeks, meet on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m., and will be held via Zoom. Each participant/couple needs to purchase their own book. The work will entail reading one chapter each week and discussing that chapter in the meetings. The assignment for May 17 will be a discussion of the book's introduction (17 pages). Please contact Pastor Jim if you plan to participate.

Can you trust the Bible?

Many answer this question with a staunch No! Critics increasingly attempt to poke holes in the authority of Scripture and deflate faith among believers. But ask Dr. Erwin Lutzer if you can trust the Bible, and he'll give a resounding Yes!

In this revised and expanded edition of the popular book 7 Reasons Why You Can Trust the Bible, Dr. Lutzer offers seven foundational arguments for the reliability of Scripture. In clear, easy-to-follow language, he explores:

  1. The Bible's claims about itself
  2. The historical reliability of the Bible
  3. The prophetic predictions of the Bible
  4. The claims of Christ concerning Scripture
  5. The harmony between science and the Bible
  6. The providence of God in preserving Scripture
  7. The power of the Bible to change lives

In the court of truth, the Holy Spirit testifies to the authority of Scripture, and all the evidence lines up. Read 7 Reasons and let your confidence in God's Word increase.
